The CRF230M was Honda's supermoto version of the CRF230L, launched in the US for 2009 with 17-inch wheels and low-profile road tyres instead of the dual-sport's 21/18-inch knobblies. It kept the air-cooled 223 cc electric-start single and six-speed gearbox, but got black bodywork, frame and wheels, an aluminium handlebar and a steeper 23.9 degree rake for quick steering in town.
